Wow, I didn’t know the President and the First Lady were such sexual explorers
Wednesday, January 21st, 2009Hey all. Michael here. PRETTY sure this lady didn’t mean what she said. She probably meant the fist bump. Or maybe she is privy to some knowledge about the new POTUS and his wife. Who knows?
Olbermann is fucking BADASS.
Monday, November 17th, 2008Hey all. Michael here. I wish I had a national platform like this. Keith does a great job of pretty much voicing my EXACT opinions on the subject of gay marriage and Prop 8 and all that bullshit that is going on right now.
It IS kind of long, but it is TOTALLY worth watching the entire thing.
Bravo, Mr. Olbermann. Bravo.
This is just really great
Wednesday, November 12th, 2008Hey all. Michael here. This is Obama’s campaign people set to the opening music and made to look just like THE WEST WING intro. The flag looks kinda cheesy, but the rest of this video was edited together really well. For those that don’t know what a great show THE WEST WING was, I say go check it out. It is SO worth it. Especially the first few seasons. The last wasn’t so bad, either.
I think I’ve struck pure gold today!
Wednesday, November 12th, 2008Check out THIS change, people
Wednesday, November 5th, 2008President-Elect Obama! It’s like the first season of 24 all over again!
Wednesday, November 5th, 2008Hey all. Michael here. I’m just happy. I’m happy that McCain isn’t going to be President. I’m happy that our country still has some sense, despite Florida and Arizona passing civil union bans. Hopefully, Obama can help turn this country around.
In the meantime, I am so pissed off that Florida passed the civil union ban 62-38 that I am desperately seeking a career in Editing in New York. Any takers?
This right here describes the election in a nutshell. Watch, and smirk.
Change is happening
Tuesday, November 4th, 2008Hey all. Michael here. So, in case you don’t know this, or don’t follow the NFL, this is an important fact: The Washington Redskins last homegame before a presidential election determines who will be the next President of the United States of America. This goes all the way back to 1936!
Now, some of you may be like, “This was proven false!” or, “You can make that case for anything!”
Well, here are the facts. Of the last 18 elections, this has predicted all 18 of them. You can’t get a better statistic than 100%.
Now, I THOUGHT it went like this: if the Redskins win, the party that was in power, stays in power. If the Redskins lose, the White House changes hands/parties.
However, and this might just be something that people have been saying since the 2004 election, it turns out that it is actually whatever party won the POPULAR VOTE, not which is in power.
This is important because in 2000, Al Gore won the popular vote, as we all know, but George W. Bush won the electoral vote. So, by the ORIGINAL logic that I had, this meant that since the Redskins LOST before the 2004 election, John Kerry would have won. However, Bush won again, and the world suffered more for it. This is because the Democrats won the popular vote in 2000, so since the Redskins lost in 2004, the White House went back to the Republicans.
So, like I said, maybe someone just figured out that the POPULAR VOTE is the way to go. Either way, since the Pittsburgh Steelers TROUNCED the ‘Skins last night 23-6 (GO STEELERS!), this is good news for Senator Barack Obama.
I’m hoping before I lay my head on my pillow tonight to hear the words “President-Elect Obama.”
Palin falls for Prank Call
Saturday, November 1st, 2008I just found this gem through Taegan Goddard’s Political Wire:
“A Quebec comedy duo notorious for prank calls to celebrities and heads of state has reached Sarah Palin, convincing the Republican vice-presidential nominee she was speaking with French President Nicolas Sarkozy,” according to the Canadian Press.
You can hear the 6 minute call here in mp3.
