I was watching the Daily Show last night and Jon Stewart’s guest was Sandra Day O’Connor; in her interview she revealed some information I knew and some that I had no idea was a problem.  Recent polls she put out say  1 in 3 americans do not even understand the difference in the 3 branches of government and the same number couldn’t even name them.  Unfortunately this did not shock me; what I did find surprising and appauling was that over half of the states CURRENTLY DO NOT REQUIRE ANY FORM OF U.S. GOVERNMENT OR CIVICS COURSE FOR GRADUATION!   To those who read this post who are in any field of education, or if you share my passion for fixing this, please pass this information to those you feel need it - this has to change now!!!!   Justice O’Connor has started a website as a resource tool for educators and citizens.     www.ourcourts.org

Hey all.  Michael here.  So, I’ve reached 300 posts.  I guess that’s not a whole lot considering the site’s been online for coming up on a year this June.  But, I’m still pretty gosh darn proud of what I do here.  I wish I had more time for the site but…you can’t always get what you want.

Anyways, this particular post is about the new TERMINATOR: SALVATION trailer.  I gotta tell ya, folks, after the last trailer, I was kinda “meh” about this movie.  Seeing this trailer today, I desperately want to see this movie.  What made the difference?

What do you mean, Michael?  Well, folks, I mean that they use a NIN song during the duration of the trailer.  And it fits, and it works.  And it does it all perfectly.  Check it out for yourself!
